An inherited trove of old family photographs has offered me a connection to family and era I wish I knew. I find these candid snapshots intriguing, amusing and sometimes mysterious. The small small sepia and black and white prints don’t have much detail but often a strong painting idea. I use my imagination creating the mood with color and composition to create a contemporary image of long ago.
